The End of a Legacy

I have sad news. The Titus Family Legacy has come to an abrupt and tragic end. My Sims 3 save file has been corrupted beyond repair. Even the backup, somehow, is beyond fixing.

I will start a new legacy challenge soon. This one will be set in Sunset Valley. I do not have a family name yet, so if anyone wants to post suggestions in the comments section below, feel free. I will take all suggestions into consideration, and I will post the link to the new blog here when it is up and ready to go.

Chapter Four

Roxie  always played her guitar when she had a lot to think about. It helped her think. And right now, she had a lot to think about.She had to give her husband the biggest news of their marriage yet- she was pregnant!

Roxie wasn't sure how he would react. They weren't married yet, and Mr. Titus was pretty conservative and old fashioned. Children born outside of marriage were illegitimate.

"That's great!" he told her when she gave him his announcement, "I am so excited to be starting our family!"

Roxie gave a sigh of relief.

"Of course, we really need to get married before this baby is born," Andrew said, I do not want us having an illegitimate child.

They kept putting it off, however, due to lack of funds. "Tomorrow is the day," Andrew said one day before going to work. "It's a holiday, so everyone will be off work. We will invite our family and friends over here, and have a private little ceremony."

"Sounds great, honey," Roxie said. But she wasn't sure if this baby would wait that long.

Sure enough, she went into labor while Andrew was at work. She called him at the office and told him. He said she should get to the hospital right away, and he would be there as soon as he could.

He about knocked a guy over running into the hospital, but he got there just in the nick of time. He got to see his son born.

 Welcome to the family, Benjamin Titus. He loves the outdoors and is clumsy. Very adorable kid though, don't you think?

When they get him home, Andrew looks at him and then looks at Roxie. "We did good, honey," he says, "I already know he will make us proud parents."

Roxie smiled. She was sure nothing could ruin this moment. That is, until Andrew opened his mouth again.

"It's too bad he is illegitimate. He would have made a fine heir."

Chapter Three

After work on Friday, he goes to the park and plays some hackey sack. He leveled up a point of athletics. He spent Saturday relaxing at home. He had invited Roxie over, but she said she was too busy. Maybe she's not so serious about their relationship after all. She has used the too busy excuse a few times already.

 

He invited her over on Sunday, and she accepted! They spent a lot of time flirting, and showing each other intimacy. Andrew asked her to go steady, and she revealed that she has commitment issues! Just great, what a woman to start a legacy with...

But Andrew loves her, and he thinks he can work through her commitment issues. She loves him too, so she says yes to going steady. He then invites her to move in, and she accepts!

Roxie brings a couple thousand simoleans with her, and tearing down the house and recycling the pieces to it provides a little more. They use the money to build a slightly nicer house.

The house is a bit of an efficiency. A small house with only one room and a bathroom. But its the start to the family home.

They spend the evening showing each other how much they love each other.

The night ends with their first woohoo. An eventful day, but a perfect day.

Chapter Two

When we left off last time, Andrew Titus has just finished his first day of work. After his second day of work, I again sent him to the library to play video games to get his fun levels up. Then, he added walls to his house! Yes, after his second day of work, he had enough money to build walls.

A peek on the inside shows that he hadn't bought anything new except for the light hanging from the ceiling. But still, it is improvement.

 The next day (Wednesday), Andrew is promoted to desk jockey (same hours, but a tiny pay increase). He decides he wants to celebrate and calls Roxie to invite her out. She initially says yes, but calls and cancels on him after he gets there.

So he meets Kay. But it definitely isn't love at first sight. Kay hates children and is evil. Definitely not a good mate to establish a legacy with. So he tell her goodbye and goes home.

While taking a shower, Andrew breaks the dang thing. He is too tired to work on it then, but first thing in the morning (Thursday) he fixes the shower and mops up the water.

Thursday is the Summer holiday, so Andrew has the day off (and still gets paid for a day of work). So he calls Roxie up and invites her out to the Summer Festival. She initially turns him down, so he chats with her for a couple hours and then asks again.

 This time she says yes! They meet there, and they are on their first date!

 Things go so well, they later have their first kiss! By this point, they are now romantic interests. Next step, going steady, but Andrew doesn't want to rush it...

The night ends with a little slow dancing. Roxie then tells him she has to go, but that she had a really good time.

Love is in the air. Do we possibly have our founder's mate for the first generation? Keep tuning in to find out the answer!

Chapter One

I have started many legacy challenges on Sims 3, but never finished one. I hope this time will be different. (You can find out about the Legacy Challenge here.)

Meet Andrew Titus. He is flirty, a great kisser, handy, genius, and athletic. His lifetime wish is to become an international super spy (level 10 of the law enforcement career). His favorite music is country music, favorite food is man and cheese, and favorite color is violet. He is an Aries.

His starter "house" isn't much of a house. It's got a shower, toilet, sink, bed, mini-fridge, and very few walls. No outside walls to speak of, actually. The legacy challenge starts you off with very little money and an empty lot. It's meant to be a rags to riches kind of story.

So the first thing Andrew does, of course, is go to the police station and get a job. He starts out at the lowest rung. He is a snitch, working Monday through Friday 9 am to 3 pm at $40 an hour. It is Sunday, around 10 am, so we have some time to kill before our first shift, and not really anything to do. So what's a guy to do?

 Andrew goes to the library to study logic. The logic skill is required for promotions in the law enforcement career, so might as well get started on it. He learns 2 skill points of logic, and now it is 6 o clock. Next I decide to send him to the park, to see if he can find any single ladies. (Gotta get started on the next generation as soon as possible!)

And he meets this Roxie Lin, who is indeed single. He chats with her for a couple hours, and he finds out that she is also a flirt. It is getting late though, so it is time for him to head home. He eats, uses the toilet, and showers. Then goes to bed.

Apparently he likes to eat on the toilet. I guess when you don't have table and chairs, a toilet is the next best thing? For me, personally, I'd rather sit on my bet to eat. But hey, no judgement man.

The next morning he starts the new job, as a snitch.He works very hard, and when he gets off work at 3 pm, he is stressed and overworked.

So, I send him to the library to play video games on the computer. Then he goes home to eat, use the toilet, and shower. Then, to help with his fun meter, I have him read the paper.

Which he does on the toilet, again. Okay, so maybe now I am starting to judge...
